The UKEC Taiwan office hosted a successful event this evening, bringing together students who are interested in studying in the UK and providing them with valuable advice and first-hand experiences.

We were delighted to welcome Amy, a former international student in the UK and now a popular YouTuber who shares tips and guidance on her channel for students planning to study overseas. Drawing on her own journey, Amy delivered an engaging talk that covered practical aspects of student life, from settling into a new culture to making the most of academic and social opportunities in the UK. Her insights resonated strongly with the audience, many of whom are preparing to begin their own applications.

Alongside Amy’s session, the event also featured presentations from UKEC Taiwan’s education specialists. They guided students through key topics including:

  • How to choose the right university based on academic goals and personal preferences

  • Understanding the application process and how to prepare a strong application

  • What to expect from student life in the UK, both academically and socially

  • Practical advice for adapting to life abroad

The combination of Amy’s personal perspective and our advisors’ professional expertise gave attendees a well-rounded understanding of what to expect when studying in the UK. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions directly, making the event highly interactive and tailored to their needs.

This event highlights UKEC Taiwan’s commitment to supporting international students at every stage of their journey, from exploring study options to navigating the realities of student life overseas. By combining the voice of a current YouTuber and former student with professional guidance, UKEC Taiwan continues to ensure that students feel confident and well-prepared as they take their next steps.

We are proud of the Taiwan team for organising such a valuable session and for their ongoing dedication to helping students achieve their study abroad ambitions.
