What their Students Say

“The community at Lancaster is extremely friendly and welcoming, especially from an international student’s perspective. Since the day I moved in Lancaster I have found so many different groups of people that were wholeheartedly willing to help me feel at home.

The University organises some activities which are crucial to the better settlement of an international student that personally helped me feel very comfortable, for example the Fresher’s Week group photo, the support from the Welfare Officers, the information desks around campus are just some of the acts that I have come across during my time in Lancaster.

Also, the helpfulness of the Management School that organises workshops that target people who do not speak English as their first language and the development of schemes like the LUMS Leading Lights which involves mentoring the first-year students in helping them settle to the academic and university life are significant in creating an unforgettable experience from an international perspective.

Lancaster is a very welcoming and warm place despite its sometimes cold weather. It’s a place full of nature but also activities of any kind of interest for every member. Lancaster University is an all-inclusive place that encourages the members of its community to be themselves”

“Lancaster University is one of the few universities in UK that follow a collegiate system which gives a sense of belongingness. I am from the graduate college and all postgrads of the university represent this college. It is wonderful to experience students from different culture and nations and learn from each other.

You should surely consider Lancaster University for your study if you wanted to be in one among the top UK universities. Lancaster is known for its quality of teaching. It has ensured an environment friendly campus which make it’s a good ambience for study.

It’s also one of the universities in UK where you would find a lot of students from all over the globe. It is known for its diversity and has also won the title of “International University of the Year” in 2020 by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020.  It’s easy to make friends and share culture.

The fresher’s week and student union enable the opportunity to explore various clubs and societies and meet new people every day. The University is a small city with various facilities for its students and staff such as restaurants, Bookshop, pharmacy, post services etc. It ensures that the students feel at home while their study at Lancaster University.”
