About University of Hertfordshire

To help international students settle into life at the University and start making friends, we run a free Orientation Week and pre-arrival webinars. The programme has been designed to familiarise you with all aspects of living and studying in the UK, and give you all the advice and information you need to make the most of your time in the country.

Comfortable accommodation is available on campus, just minutes from your lectures, while the capital city is only 25 minutes away by train. University isn’t just about getting an incredible education; it’s also about exploring ideas, trying new things and meeting lifelong friends. We have hundreds of clubs and societies at our Students’ Union, just choose the one for you!

The University of Hertfordshire is in the town of Hatfield, just 25 minutes by train from London King’s Cross station. With over 300 programmes available to international students, across seven Schools of Study it’s easy to find a course to match your career aspirations. Our programmes are created with industry in mind, and placements are offered alongside many courses to provide you with hands-on experience.

Over the past 20 years we’ve invested almost half a billion pounds in our green campuses, which span 125 acres. Rated Platinum for our EcoFriendly campus (EcoCampus, 2018), everything is designed with our student community in mind.

With inspiring learning spaces, state-of-the-art facilities, and a £120 million student accommodation village, you have everything you need at your doorstep. Globally, the University partners with institutions in countries all over the world, as well as welcoming over 10,000 students from 140 countries to its campus in the UK.
