International student life We want you to reach your full potential so we offer a variety of support during your time with us.
Each of our students is allocated a Personal Supervisor to meet throughout the year who give academic advice and are your first point of contact for feedback and guidance. Whilst our Student Services team provide advice on matters like health and wellbeing, visas and immigration, money and learning support – ensuring you get the most out of everything the university has to offer.
Our Student Futures team help you to be future-focused, encouraging and empowering individuals to develop skills key for employability as well as to make and implement well-informed decisions about their careers and continuing professional development. This includes opportunities such as internships and work placements. In recent years there have also been opportunities through our graduate internship programme.
The University of Hull is the 14th-oldest university in England, founded in the year 1927, and enjoys a proud heritage of academic quality with a history of creating transformative research. Hull is known for its research expertise in maritime history, nanotechnology, social justice, environmental technologies, healthcare and 3D visualization. It was awarded the Queen’s Award for Technological Achievement for research in liquid crystal technology. In 2014, 62% of its research was judged to be internationally excellent by the national Research Excellence Framework [REF] and ranked in the top 50 UK institutions for research power by the Times Higher Education.
We have invested £300 million on new facilities including a world-class library, a state-of-the-art 400-seater concert hall with industry-standard studio and recording equipment, on-campus student accommodation and new sports facilities.
