What their Students Say

“When I was in high school I was captain of the football team, and whilst I’ve always loved playing the game, it was then that my attention was drawn to tactics throughout the team, not just my own.

“I wanted my studies to focus on coaching, rather than it being just one element of a broader football course, so the University of South Wales is the ideal choice. I like that all of my classes are based at the Sports Park; the facilities are brilliant, and I’ve already had the opportunity to do a work placement giving me real life experience in football coaching.

As well as meeting new friends through his course, Takuto took part in the university’s International Welcome Programme – a series of social events that help international students to settle in, make friends and get used to life in the UK: “Not only did I learn a lot about living and studying in the UK, I made friends from across the world and we’ve stayed in touch. But above all was the warm welcome I got from the university, and everyone in south Wales. Everyone has been really kind which has made settling here really easy.”
