Job Title: Mandarin / English Full & Part-time Education Advisor – Manchester Phd Team

Contract Type: Casual, Full-Time Permanent

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-17:30pm

Location: Manchester (on-site)

Salary: FT: £29,000 per annum; PT: £12.21 per hour, plus uncapped commissions

Job Overview:

An education advisor is responsible for effectively promoting international education amongst G5 and PhD students. The Education advisor identifies potential sales opportunities and effectively covert potentials into customers; provides professional consultation services to international students and assists them and manages throughout the whole cycle of their applications.

The key tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Share responsibility for the recruitment of international G5 and PhD students and actively assist the team to achieve recruitment targets;
  • Proactively plan and execute marketing activities to promote our services and in turn to help achieve sales targets;
  • Provide professional consultation services to students;
  • Design, evaluate and revise consultation service products to suit market needs;
  • Liaise with universities to track application progress, and field any general or specific enquiries as well as advocate on behalf of students;
  • Process students’ applications. This includes but not be limited to helping students fill in application forms, forwarding them to the university, entering and updating the information in student files both on paper and in the office database, and arranging interviews;
  • Maintain good communication with colleagues and keep the line manager informed of application statuses or problems;
  • Co-ordinating UKEC translation work and assure high quality work is delivered;
  • Manage and maintain high quality PhD mentoring team in order to provide a consistently high-quality mentoring service to PhD Applicants;
  • From time-to-time undertake other relevant tasks as designated by the line manager or the company.

Requirement:

  • Strong sales and customer service experience, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.
    • Experience with Chinese social media platforms (e.g. Xiaohongshu/RED, Douyin/TikTok) is a plus.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as education, business, marketing or related fields.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
    • Fluency in English and Mandarin.

Job Title: Mandarin / English Part-time Education Advisor (Sales) – Dublin & Liverpool

Contract Type: Casual

Working Hours: Up to 20 hours per week

Location: Dublin & Liverpool (on-site)

Salary: £12.21 for UK; €12.15 - 13.50 for Ireland per hour plus uncapped commissions

Overall Purpose of the Job:

UKEC is looking for dynamic and highly driven individuals who envision a fun & challenging career in the education consultancy industry and will effectively promote international education and continuously strive to achieve sales targets.

 

The Key Tasks Include but are not Limited to:

· Share responsibility for the recruitment of international students and actively assist the team to achieve.

· Proactively plan and execute recruitment and marketing activities (both online & offline) to promote our services and in turn help to achieve targets.

· Deal with student enquiries and provide professional consultation services to students.

· Liaise with universities and students to track students’ applications, arrange interviews, and field any general or specific enquiries as well as advocate on behalf of students.

· Visit students off-site for counselling and information sessions, distribute leaflets, take part in and off-site recruitment events such as education fairs, university interviews, open days and other relevant recruitment events.

· Be available for ad hoc and regular company training where necessary and be prepared to deliver information sessions at regular company meetings. Also be available for university information sessions and familiarisation trips.

· Maintain good communication with colleagues and keep the centre manager informed of application statuses or problems.

· From time-to-time undertake other relevant tasks as requested by the centre manager or the company.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:

· Have a university degree in any discipline.

· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.

· Have excellent sales skills.

· Have strong direct marketing skills.

· Have a strong sense of market knowledge.

· Be able to meet targets and deadlines and work well under pressure.

· Have excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Be responsible, mature, reliable, and honest.

· Be a committed team player but also be dependable enough to work individually with minimum supervision.

· Have a proven track record of meeting sales targets.

· Have a network or customer base in the local international student community would be a distinct advantage.

· The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK.
